Don’t miss this chance to join H&M Group’s Digital Workplace Unit, responsible for the digital workplace experience and site tech foundation at H&M Group globally. The unit consists of eleven engineering teams across three areas – Digital Workplace Platforms, Digital Workplace Devices, and Site Tech Engineering. Together, the teams design, develop, and operate all workplace infrastructure used by H&M Group across our offices, stores, and warehouses worldwide. This includes enterprise-wide platforms and applications used for collaboration, communication & design (e.g. MS365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Atlassian, and Voice & Video), End User Computing (e.g. Devices, VDI, MDM), and core infrastructure on site (e.g. network, edge compute, RFID, IoT). 

As a Domain Architect within our Digital Workplace organization, you will have a pivotal role in the Business Tech function at H&M Group. You will be responsible for driving the future architecture and design of our Digital Workplace platforms, proactively developing, and maintaining the architectural vision and strategic roadmaps. Reporting to the Global Head of Digital Workplace and being a key member of the Digital Workplace Leadership Team, your work will directly impact how our teams connect, collaborate, and innovate across the globe. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Digital Workplace, Area Lead Engineers, and Solution Architects, acting as a role model for our engineering teams and supporting them with technical know-how and architectural guidance. Your excellent stakeholder management skills will enable you to proactively engage with business stakeholders, Security, Legal, Commercial, Enterprise Architecture teams, and our external service providers. With your strategic mindset and deep technical knowledge, you will be instrumental in providing H&M’s colleagues with relevant, scalable, and secure digital workplace solutions. You will also be at the forefront of innovation, evaluating and recommending new software, hardware, and vendors while optimizing the use of existing technologies.

Elevating our tech foundation in store is of highest priority and, as Domain Architect, you will play a key role in establishing our global store tech foundation blueprint, standards, guardrails, and governance processes that are scalable, secure, and designed to meet the future needs of our customers and business. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive digital workplace architecture strategy and roadmap that aligns with the organization's business objectives.  
  2. Architecture Design: Design the architecture for systems and solutions within the digital workplace domain, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient. Create and maintain architectural blueprints, guidelines, and standards. 
  3. Solution Delivery: Guide the implementation of architecture solutions, ensuring they meet design specifications and business requirements. Provide technical oversight and support during the development and deployment phases.
  4. Innovation: Identify emerging technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the digital workplace domain.  
  5. Stakeholder Mgmt.: Collaborate with senior leadership and in cross-functional teams across Tech, HR, and business units, to understand their needs and deliver tailored digital solutions.  
  6. Governance: Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of digital workplace solutions. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Proven experience (±10 years) as a Domain Architect or similar role with a focus on Digital Workplace solutions. 
  • Deep knowledge of Digital Workplace technologies including communication & collaboration tools incl. Ms365, Voice & Video, and end-user computing. 
  • Strong expertise in site tech infrastructure, engineering, network technologies, and cloud services. 
  • Extensive experience in IT ecosystems and system integration. 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing comprehensive digital workplace strategies that align with business objectives. 
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire teams towards a common vision. 
  • Experience in vendor/supplier management. 
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, data privacy, and cybersecurity best practices. 
  • Experience with Google Workplace, Slack, GCP is a plus. 
  • An innovative mindset with a passion for driving continuous improvement and staying at the forefront of emerging technologies. 

Additional Information

This is a full-time permanent position, starting as soon as possible according to agreement. The role is an on-site position, based in our office in Stockholm, Sweden.
