Area Controller

Job Description
As an Area Controller, you are responsible for securing the best possible customer experience throughout the stores in your area. You will deliver expected profitability by setting and analysing financial goals as well as planning and forecasting sales figures and expenses. In this role you will be responsible for stores in Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary.
- Work with the area manager/store managers to create annual and quarterly sales budgets, utilising historical data, known events and benchmarking.
- Monitor, analyse, and benchmark weekly / daily sales plans and results for each store.
- Work in partnership with each store manager to ensure an effective schedule is in place to guarantee a high level of customer service.
- Work with selling reports, budgets and other available tools to make business decisions regarding allocations and stock levels.
- Perform a monthly review of all variable costs and investigate any irregularities.
- Ensure each store is following the correct operational routines, including delivery, replenishment and cash handling.
- Partner with each store manager and cash office responsible to coordinate annual inventories.
- Partner with the area HR manager to Identify future talent and formulate clear and challenging goals to assist with their development.
- Train and develop store teams in staff planning, profit & loss and scheduling.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year retail management experience.·
- Fluent in English both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Fashion awareness.
- Proven organisational, analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Sales driven and result oriented.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.
- Ability to use own initiative and work as part of team.
- Excellent communication skills.

This is a full time permenant contract, based in Warsaw. The role reports to the Area Manager
