Job Description

As the Store Interior Buying Lead you will manage the strategic purchase of non commercial goods (NCG) for COS stores, ensuring brand quality, and implementing reuse strategies. Responsibilities include leading the NCG team, collaborating with various departments, driving strategy based on expansion forecasts, and overseeing operational buying to minimize costs. You’ll focus on improving processes, providing forecasts and analyses, adhering to sustainability practices, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and establishing short-term partnerships.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for the strategic purchase NCG interiors for COS stores and set brand quality standards.
  • Lead and grow the NCG team, fostering a supportive work environment and managing the employee life cycle.
  • Implement and evaluate reuse strategies for materials and equipment.
  • Drive NCG strategy based on expansion forecasts and identify potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Interior Team to achieve long and short-term goals.
  • Oversee operational buying, minimize costs, and ensure strong cross-functional collaborations.
  • Provide input on product development, set business cases for NCG developments, and improve processes.
  • Develop sustainability strategies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and establish short-term partnerships.
  • Monitor and align supplier performance with business needs.

How you will do it:

  • Experience as a merchandiser or buying manager/lead either within a retail or procurement environment
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Ability to develop and communicate strategy and improve ways of working
  • An analytical mindset to find patterns and issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders

Additional Information

This is a full time 12 month temporary contract based at our Head Office in London.
