Expansion Controller

Job Description

As an Expansion Controller, you will set, develop and implement controlling routines, and play an important role in setting and delivering on the expansion strategy in Sales Market Poland. You will be responsible for the financial budgeting and follow-up for the Expansion Team. You will perform trend analysis and prognosis for the Sales Market, and drive risk management in the sales market.

Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to: 

  • Set and implement controlling routines and strategies in the sales market. 
  • Support all local Expansion functions in setting clear strategies and goals 
  • Own local budget and forecasting process for Leasing and C&F 
  • Secure monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to local, regional and central function for project investments, as well as running costs for expansion function. 
  • Secure good invoice routines together with Accounting and Lease Admin. 
  • Take ownership of all relevant market data, securing data accuracy and relevance. 
  • Monitor and review sales, surplus, operational costs, and capex spend for your market. 
  • Analyze and secure that rents and data are accurate in systems and tools, together with Lease Admin. 
  • Analyze trends and deviations versus budget/targets and draw conclusions on how to improve the result. 
  • Support and train your Leasing and C&F colleagues in key analysis on major KPIs. 
  • Make sure that accurate information about the project pipeline and portfolio is available to other local departments and the central support organization. 
  • Secure the financial transparency on the highest level, and that each team member is aware of their responsibilities and approval rights. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you need to have strong analytical skills and the ability to structure data. You need to work strategically and have a multibrand and multichannel perspective. You have a structured way of working, good at conceptualizing ideas and defining conclusions with supporting argument. And you enjoy teamwork and effectively collaborates with a group of diverse people in order to achieve set goals and targets. 

What you need to succeed: 

  • Good understanding of accounting and controlling routines, and support systems. 
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience. 
  • Experience from working in auditing, accounting and/or controlling (preferably within the retail sector). 
  • Excellent teamwork and advanced English level. 
  • Experience in preparing and presenting financial reporting to stakeholders.in meriting. 
  • Task-oriented and goal-driven personality. 
  •  Good collaborative skills. 

Additional Information

This is a full-time role, located in Warsaw, Poland. The Expansion Controller role is a part of the Expansion Department and reports to the Regional Expansion Controller.
