Job Description

Are you passionate about navigating global risks and supporting organizations in effective Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) work? Do you have background in data privacy and Environmental, Social and Governance areas, and aspire to broaden your hands-on experience in operationalizing compliance with global regulations? If so, the role of Governance Specialist Data Privacy & GRC within H&M Group might be your next challenge. 
 

Corporate Governance is a central function under the H&M Group CFO, supporting all brands, functions and regions within the Group.  As Governance Specialist Data Privacy & GRC, you will be reporting to the Head of Corporate Governance and working closely with the Group Data Protection Officer (DPO). 
 

Your primary focus in this role will include two key areas:  

  • Supporting the DPO in Privacy Governance matters. This involves developing and maintaining guidelines, ensuring data subject rights fulfilment and coordination of data breach management.  

  • Supporting and advising the H&M Group brands and functions in GRC matters focusing on risk management, internal control and policy advice for the Privacy and Environmental, Social and Governance areas. Additionally, you will create compliance reports and presentations for regular management reporting. 

While working in the Corporate Governance team, you will also be part of our Governance Network and Data Privacy Community working together with a competent and an inspiring team across our global operations, enhancing overall effectiveness in governance, compliance, and risk practices.

Qualifications

  • A master's degree within a relevant area preferably legal, risk management or business administration. 

  • Solid experience in working with Data Privacy and human rights & environmental due diligence topics, in large and international organizations. 

  • Strong understanding of concepts theories and principles of risk management and compliance.  

  • Strong experience of project management and engaging with diverse sets of stakeholders  

  • Verbal and written fluency in Swedish & English.  

  • Practical experience with GRC and Privacy tooling and other relevant technical solutions such as Office 365 

  • Analytical, conceptual and critical-thinking capability, ability to identify key issues and develop relevant solutions in a structured and organized way 

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills; able to articulate on processes, findings and recommendation in a simple and pragmatic way 

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, deliver results and meet deadlines

About the recruitment process 
This is a full-time permanent assignment, based at the head-office in Marievik/Liljeholmen in Stockholm and you will report to Cigdem Günes, Head of Corporate Governance.
