Regional Operational Excellence Manager, Logistics Region Europe – flexible work location
Job Description
Logistics Region Europe comprises of three Clusters: Central-East, North and South Europe, where H&M operates logistics centers.
As a Regional Operational Excellence Manager, you are responsible to lead initiatives to identify and act on operational excellence opportunities, issues, and synergies, supporting DC's and regional teams to improve operational excellence in the Logistics Region based on best practices and defined global operational and tech standards.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for defining regional operational excellence targets and agenda, leading Logistics Region towards agreed targets.
- Responsible to lead and ensure regional initiatives to improve operational excellence within defined global operational and tech standards, balancing cost, service levels and sustainability impact with consideration to end-to-end flows and Logistics Region synergies.
- Responsible for leading work to support regional DCs Teams in identifying and minimizing inefficient processes, workaround, waste, and interruptions.
- Responsible to identity obstacles in adhering defined operational and tech standards within the Logistics Region, including leading subsequent actions to request changes to standards towards Central Logistics teams and supporting DCs in adhering defined standards.
- Responsible to monitor overall operational excellence and lead actions to identity operational excellence synergies, issues, and opportunities in the Logistics Region.
- Responsible to support and train regional and DC Teams in Operational Excellence and Best Practices.
- Responsible to support training DC Teams in relevant global operation and tech standards and in finding solutions in how to best adhere the standards based on DC specifics.
- Responsible to gather and prioritize continuous improvements identified in Logistics Region and participate in Central Logistics continuous improvements forums for tech and operational change requests, also participating in change request implementations.
- Responsible to connect and facilitate DCs teams' knowledge sharing of operational issues and opportunities in the Logistics Regions, also leading subsequent actions.
- Responsible for product care and value-added services (PSR) process and follow-up in the Logistics Region.
- Actively stay up to date on global logistics end-to-end operational status, KPIs, issues and risk
- Identify sustainability opportunities and challenges from a social, economic, and environmental perspective.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has an exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. As an experienced leader, you demonstrate a great ability to collaborate, interact and navigate with central and regional teams and stakeholders, both internally and externally, with all levels of seniority.
What you need to succeed:
- Proven track record of a hands-on experience with tools such as Lean and Six Sigma for problem-solving & continuous improvements.
- Strong knowledge of all areas of logistics both operationally and functionally with the strong understanding of business needs for both retail and online businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to combine expertise of supply chain concepts and best practices with outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.
- A proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience in business process improvements and workflow mapping.
- Deep expertise in warehouse processes and knowledgeable in logistics related best practices.
- Experience in working with and leading continuous improvement projects.
- A proven track record of successfully leading and developing people, including leading leaders.
- Ability to inspire change towards teams.
- Business fluent in English.
- Six Sigma black belt certification.
Additional Information
This role is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible, with direct reporting to the Regional Sales and Warehouse Operations Manager. The work location offers flexibility across European countries with own logistics operations (option of hybrid working). Travel is required in this role.
