If so, this could be the role for you. We are now looking for a Colour & Print Design Assistant to join our Creative Design Team. This role will report into the Creative Manager and is offered on a permanent full-time contract.

Job Description

As a Colour & Print Assistant, you will support the Creative Design Team with a range of responsibilities. In this role you will have a clear understanding of the COS aesthetics and the customer to ensure visual and design targets of the brand. You will be responsible for maintaining our seasonal colour library and communicating print artworks clearly.

What you will do:

  • Support to drive the assortment throughout your department, by having a clear understanding of our customer and the COS aesthetics.
  • Collaborate with all functions in the design/buying/pattern department, to ensure you deliver an efficient workflow.
  • Assist and help to research as well as file research for the department.
  • Produce clear and detailed print technical packs and colour card copies.
  • Assist in putting print artworks into all-over repeats and placement prints.
  • Assist in sourcing and development of fabrics and print techniques.
  • Handle colour and print samples as well as oversee and maintain the colour library and overviews as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate a strong design identity in line with COS aesthetics, provide a sense of colours and strong attention to detail.
  • Deliver a high awareness of current trends in both fashion, art and design and an appreciation for traditional techniques.

In addition to our values we are also looking for:

  • Previous experience in a colour/print assistant position
  • A certifiable design qualification 
  • An understanding of print design, creative artistic ability and colour awareness
  • Ability to research thoroughly into the seasonal directions and suggest new ideas suitable for the COS aesthetic while demonstrating a high level of awareness
  • Understanding and interest in sustainable fashion solutions, material innovation and product development 
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment meeting tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Adobe suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Wide technical knowledge and strong 3-dimensional sense, and able to do Tech packs.

In this role you will have some flexibility to work remotely however due to the high level of cross department collaborations much of your time will be spent in our wonderful art-deco inspired office in Holborn, London.
