Job Description

You will be part of a Unit called Foundation Services within IT Operations. Foundation Services comprises of three teams and aims to bring about transparency & efficiency of IT Operations. This enables us to build and implement strategies that ensures a highly optimized IT Operations entity. One of the teams in Foundation Services is FinStrat (Financial Strategy), and as a service delivery specialist, you will focus on the finance aspects of IT Operations and navigate ways to bring the cost down. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Assessing the landscape: 
  1. Identify and understand the processes within IT Operations 
  2. Highlight synergies between teams and areas within IT Operations 
  3. Defining your scope and collaboration with the rest of IT Operations. 
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: 
  1. Keeping H&M IT Operations as context, you will develop a financial plan to manage and control costs 
  2. Collaborate with the Head of IT Operations, various pillars, and the finance department to identify IT Operations budget, estimate costs, and define financial milestones. 
  • Cost Monitoring and Optimization: 
  1. Continuously analyse, monitor, and control costs to ensure alignment with budgeted amount. 
  2. Identify cost-saving opportunities, set financial objectives, and drive discussions for stakeholder buy-ins. 
  3. Implement risk response actions to minimize financial impacts and assess potential cost overruns. 
  • Financial Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement: 
  1. Provide regular reports for IT Operations summarizing financial status, budget vs. actual comparisons, cost forecasts, and variance analysis. 
  2. Engage with stakeholders within Operations, Finance, Procurement, and executive sponsors to align financial strategies and gain support for cost-saving initiatives. 
  • Efficiency and Process Improvement: 
  1. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing lessons learned, identifying best practices, and implementing improvements for cost control and savings. 
  • Performance Metrics and KPIs: 
  1. Establish OKRs and KPIs to monitor financial performance and drive continuous improvements. 
  2. Collaborate with IT Operations teams to steer towards defined financial outcomes by identifying and implementing process improvements. 
  • Compliance and Financial Policies: 
  1. Explore, develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations. 

Qualifications

  • Financial Strategy, Compliance and Regulatory Standards, Financial Performance Analysis, Financial Reporting, Financial Modelling, Process Improvement, Risk Management 
  • Solid financial acumen (preferable with IT Ops context), with the ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations 
  • ITIL Knowledge, Understanding of IT Operations processes 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Proven ability in stakeholder management and delivering exceptional service 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills 
  • Adaptability and flexibility in managing multiple initiatives and changing priorities 
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities, working effectively with cross-functional teams 
  • Demonstrated mindset for continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to optimize processes and drive better performance 
  • Preferred tools: PowerBI, Atlassian, Advanced Excel, MS Office.
