We are currently looking for a Distribution center Manager for our 24/7 online warehouse to join the Logistic team in Region North Europe.

Job Description

As a DC Manager, you are managing a team of 1000 employees with 8 direct reports that represents HR, controlling, operations, MHE (Material Handling Equipment), IT, Safety and Project.  Your responsibility is to best tailor warehouse capabilities, ensure future business needs as well as cost and service requirements, for all H&M connected brands and channels. 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan, lead, and monitor performance of DC operations with regards to efficiency, service and cost
  • Manage to comply with Standard Operating Principles across all areas of the DC and define local DC working instructions in a sustainable way
  • Plan and manage DC employees according to capability needs and forecasted capacity requirements
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities for local DC activities to enhance operational performance
  • Lead and develop the management team to recruit, develop and retain workforce
  • Closely collaborate with Regional Logistics and Operations to serve day-to-day requests from Sales and align DC operations with quantity and service needs
  • Monitor and ensure overall garment care and NCG standards
  • Identify and resolve risks in daily DC ops to ensure high performance and efficiency
  • Set, facilitate, and follow up goals according to H&M standards
  • Ensure high quality and in-time sustainability reporting
  • Improve sustainability standards and strive to minimize Co2 emission
  • Be updated on, and follow, local laws and regulations

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience leading a team of >500 employees
  • Good knowledge of global standards of operating procedures, security, and sustainability
  • Logistics experience is desired but not essential? High automation/how it is driven
  • Excellent understanding of local DC operations, specifics, and capabilities
  • Holistic view to look at the bigger perspective with a visionary approach

Additional Information

This is a full-time position with placement in Borås, Sweden. Some travel will be required for the position. You will become part of the logistics team in North Europe and report to regional manager.
