Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Merchandiser, The role of the Market Merchandiser is to be the expert in your market and drive profitable growth by managing the commercial plan in partnership with the Area Team.​ This role is responsible for allocation and replenishment to maximize the selling as well as stock ownership as it relates to sale and activation planning in France.

  • Act on sales opportunities/threats for your market, communicate them to the Senior Supply Chain Merchandiser and the Regional Concept Merchandiser and Area Teams
  • Visit market approx. once per month to see stores and work alongside area teams to follow up on commercial actions.
  • Liaise with merchandising team regarding intake, ranging and allocations
  • Work with the Visual Merchandising team to potentialize local activity
  • Supply your market organization with commercial focuses in order to set the right priorities
  • Coach Store / Area Team on commercial focuses
  • Provide the regional merchandise team with your market and customer knowledge regarding expectations and pricing
  • Create and execute allocation strategies that will secure profitability and provide optimal composition of stock for your market, produce store allocation plans each season
  • Responsible for creating the weekly market merch pack
  • Minimize the effect of reductions through sale and other activities
  • Attend trade meetings and present updates/actions to take
  • Maximize the selling potential in your market by securing the right space management in store according to the current stock situation and sales drivers

  • Previous experience working in a planning or merchandising role, working with stores in multiple locations
  • Proficient in 365 package - Excel skills essential  
  • A self starter who displays entrepreneurial spirit and able to take full ownership of their market
  • Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to decide sales driving actions based on the results
  • Excellent collaborator with the ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, provide feedback, challenge and speak confidently in front of an audience
  • Is curious and stays up to date with trends and is knowledgeable about products, services etc.
  • Ability to travel when required
