What is the program all about? 
Customer expectations and consumer behaviors in the fashion industry are rapidly changing, and so are we. To continue to meet our customer needs and transform our industry, we need young talents with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are all about enabling early career professionals with entrepreneurial spirit and agile mindset, to help shape the future of fashion and design. Our trainee program is part of our recipe for success! 

What will you do & learn? 
As an H&M Group trainee, you will put your knowledge into practice and spend one year learning our business from different angles. This gives you a unique perspective on how teams work together to continue to lead the change toward a better fashion future. During this learning experience, you will have an immense network of support from managers, mentors and colleagues. Through collaboration, innovation and technology we challenge ourselves and the industry.  

Design of the H&M Group Global Trainee Program: 

• 12-month program starting August 2023 
• A broad and in-depth introduction to our company  
• Rotations between different functions, getting to work in a wide variety of global teams 
• Trainings & workshops to amplify your learning 

The H&M Group Global Trainee program has two tracks for you to choose between:  

Tech Track: 
The Tech Trainee Track is for you who are eager to learn and have a great passion for tech as a driver for change. You will spend the year in our Head Office in Stockholm and be part of enabling and accelerating our business through tech innovations and solutions, working together with our teams across the world. Tech at H&M Group is shaping the future of fashion and design through people, data, and technology. 

Digital & Growth Track: 
If you are business at heart and looking to accelerate your career within H&M Group, thrive during change and relish in the unknown – our Digital & Growth Track is the perfect way to start. You will spend a year learning our business, from the Head office in Stockholm and time abroad in our regional offices. This is the track where business and digital transformation come together to accelerate our digital journey and contribute to how we meet and exceed our customer’s expectation.

What do we expect of you? 
The program is designed to give you the insights, learnings and large working network needed to accelerate your career within the H&M Group. We encourage you to use your resilience and agility to take on challenges and work with people from different backgrounds. We expect you to be a learner, and show your potential to lead, act and grow. To be a team player, and dare to make your perspectives heard. Most of all, we expect you to be you and spend the year exploring your best self.   

What experience do we see that you have?  

• Have a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data or Tech. Completing your studies before August 2023 or having up to two years of experience after finalizing your studies  
• Have international experience from either work or studies    
• Are business minded and analytical  
• Are curious, brave and have an agile mindset  
• Have leadership qualities    
• Have a genuine interest in tech and/or digitalization   
• Are fluent in English

When the program is completed, it is our ambition to have all trainees of both tracks to join us in a full-time role at H&M Group. Relocating & Benefits? 
If you are relocating from another country, we will offer you relocation support (including work permit and visa application). Note that it is a paid trainee program, meaning you will work full-time and receive a market-based salary. Other H&M Group benefits will be shared later in the process.
