The product development team, develop and create visual display and conceptual products for all the global campaigns at H&M, Arket, COS, Other stories, Weekday and H&M Home.

As a product developer within our team, you bring product ideas to life, from the create and ideation phase all the way through production and to the product arrives in the store.

The role includes developing, executing, and defining technical solutions for production, creating production drawings based on a creative idea and brief with a sustainable thinking, testing, and evaluating physical prototypes and to secure right product quality in a cost-effective way.

Today we have a talented diverse team with backgrounds in industrial design and engineering.  You will work together with a multi- functional global team of experts in design, creative, supply chain, buying, engineering, marketing, and communication and towards several stakeholders.

Besides project-based assignments, you actively work towards our yearly objectives within sustainability and circular design securing H&M identity, values, and long-term goals.

Your responsibilities

• Leading the product design development and production
• Translate creative ideas into a physical product, including material choice and technical solutions
• Secure product quality
• Close contact with global suppliers
• Approve prototypes and production samples
• Approve production drawings
• Create technical drawings and 3D CAD models
• Rendering of 3D models
• Administration of products data

You have a university degree in a design principle such as product development, engineering, or industrial design. You should have an eye for design, be driven and get motivated by finding new ways of working and possess technical competence, knowledge of value engineering and material knowledge for a great variety of products.

Your background and skills

• Min. bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Industrial Design
• Experience of the product development process from first idea to end of life.  
• Knowledge of materials, surface treatments and production methods
• Sustainability knowledge in circular design
• Experience from working in cross functional teams and projects
• Balance several projects and variety of products during the season
• Knowledge in 3D CAD systems (Rhino, NX, Solid works/edge etc)
• Knowledge in rendering
• Knowledge in Adobe CC
• Fluent in English.
