As Service Designers, we aim to deliver exceptional customer value by connecting the business challenge to the people we are designing for. We’re driven by the human-centered design approach. Focusing on designing the customer experience as a whole - tying together human, digital, and physical interactions and how they integrate with the ecosystem of the business. We do this by bringing together groups of people with diverse knowledge and perspectives and use different design methods to co-understand why something needs to be solved and co-create how to solve it together. If we were at a mingling party, our name tag would say “designing the right thing before designing things right”.

Responsibilities
As a Service Designer you will collaborate with business challenge owners to support finding relevant direction by leaning on the human-centered design approach. Together with your team you will deliver concepts that meet end-users' needs and business goals and be the ambassador for the end customer view and designer’s mindset. You are responsible for creating preconditions for co-creation and innovative processes through collaboration, workshops, and visualization. You will also be dissecting business challenges and applying design thinking methodologies to develop customer centric outcomes. Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

  • Surface problem areas but also opportunity areas by understanding the customer experience and to design for the most impactful moments
  • Driving desirability validation during early stages of problem/ solution fit and product/ market fit
  • Supporting the team to navigate ambiguity (especially early explorations) by defining clear frameworks and way of working
  • Coaching and sharing of design thinking best practices

We believe you can create insights, concepts and strategies tangible by visualization, communication, and presentation by simplifying the complex. As a Service Designer you will have great impact in this team; therefore, we think you have ability to apply design thinking to both concrete and strategic challenges. We believe that you can lead the team through exploration and validation phase and communicate the value of design as well as onboard colleagues in design thinking. To be successful in this role we think that you have experience of:

  • Design thinking and Co-creational design methods
  • Qualitative and quantitative customer research and testing
  • Segmentation/ Target group/ Persona/ Needs groups
  • Customer journey mapping and Storyboarding
  • Lo-fi prototyping
  • Value proposition design
  • Service blueprints
