Job Description

To sustain our growth plans, we are looking for a driven, innovative video editor and animator to join our Creative team. The role sits in our Brand & Marketing Organization. 

You will develop and ideate unique, innovative content that breaks through the social clutter following a sharp vision using video, animation, stills, multimedia, etc. You will also be responsible to translate the Brand & Marketing vision into an actionable strategy that creates video content that drives reach and engagement and work collaborative and cross-functionally to drive creative conversations and ensure that Monki’s creative vision is translated to consumers and channels the right content.  

  • Responsible to edit, cutting, and exporting video in the desired formats for channels needed.   
  • Create engaging, animated, and short-form social media video content specifically for the brand TikTok & IG channels
  • Edit and/or update brand-provided assets with necessary logos, cropping, resizing, animation, retouching, etc.
  • Support the creative, communications, and influencer marketing team on influencer and/or creator campaign ideation and mood-boarding/briefs
  • Set goals, manage, and follow up on key information and budget-related questions with all relevant stakeholders.

To be successful in this role we see that you have a deep understanding of the social media landscape (especially TikTok and IG) and community management through competitive research and industry expertise. You have knowledge of best practices, tech platforms, tools, and processes for influencer marketing. As a person, you are resourceful, confident, competent, and hands-on and have excellent organizational, analytical, and influencing skills. Result-oriented in setting ambitious goals, and KPIs and seeing them through.   

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience and a degree in Digital Art/Graphic Design, Communications, or related field a plus  
  • Familiarity with multiple production media including video, photography, and post-production (Graphics, Animation, Visual Effects)  
  • Proven track record to work with talent/partners and manage teams to create strategic and creative influencer campaigns that deliver on KPIs and drive ROI  
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Strong creative POV in a creative direction that can take Monki’s aesthetic to the next level.   
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, fashion preferred  
  • You have experience designing & animating using assets like seasonal prints, color, typography, still life photography, and product photography  
  • You are a content creator at heart with a talent for storytelling and producing channel right visual content  

Specific job knowledge:   

  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, or similar TikTok/video editing and animation tools  
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator is a must 
  • Proficient in Keynote and Powerpoint?
