Job Description

Are you an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong eye for contemporary on-trend and qualitative H&M HOME products? Do you get excited by fast pace, unexplored grounds and endless possibilities? Do you want to be a part of a creative and dynamic team? We are looking for a driven and creative Junior Designer Furniture & Lighting.  

In the role as Junior Designer you will assist the Product Designer in creating on trend, commercial and coordinated assortment from product ideas, development all the way to final product. The area focuses on furniture & lighting including tables, stools, chairs, shelving to upholstered products & lamps. The assignment  includes creating and updating technical sketches, 3D, artworks and presentation material. You will also assist in product development and sample approvals and administrative tasks.

Your profile

You share our passion for interior and have a strong entrepreneurial spirit with drive and good interpersonal skills. You are motivated by working at a fast pace in a friendly team environment. You have a global, curious mindset and a genuine passion for trends, fashion and interior products. You are a creative,  well organized and love to collaborate with other teams.  Able to take forward thinking trends into commercial ideas.

Your skills also include:

  • A minimum BA qualification in 3D Product Design or Industrial Design
  • Experience in furniture product design
  • Broad technical and material knowledge
  • Excellent skills in Adobe Suite
  • 3D CAD programs experience, preferably in Rhino and Solidworks
  • Strong illustration & drawing skills
  • A creative and visionary mindset with a strong passion for interior design & customer focus
  • Good communication skills, a flexible attitude and capacity to adapt to changes are essential
  • Highly organized with good time management
  • Excellent team player
  • Understanding of our H&M HOME customer
  • Fluent in English (Swedish is not necessary)

This is a replacement cover with flexible starting date from May or during summer at our head office in Stockholm and will report to the Collection Manager Furniture & Lighting. There maybe possibility to prolong and/or a permanent contract in the future.
