As part of our future organization, we are strengthening our Distribution Center team, and looking for our Import-Export Manager to join us!

To give you an idea, every year, our site in Sweden receives an average of 4.000 containers delivered by different modal transportations. We constantly innovate to find the most green and flexible solution to reach our customers. Impex department is a major actor in our supply chain as most of our stores in Northern Europe (+/-220 stores) are supplied by our DC in Eskilstuna. By applying to this position, you will be a key actor in the logistics and will be able to act on the up & downstream supply chain of one of the most important retailers worldwide.

With your team, support day-to-day import and export execution, ensure compliance to standards and support global initiatives for trade & customs enhancements

  • Coordinate and manage all regional import and export processes for commercial and NCG (Non-Commercial Goods)
  • Ensure and manage efficient handling of customs formalities in cross-region trades
  • Timely submit entries for customs clearance and ensure compliance with global rules, standards and regulations set by Global Trade & Customs
  • Find and implement opportunities to optimize regional customs and tax in line with local regulations and aligned with Global Trade & Customs department and strategies
  • Communicate with national customs
  • Support global initiatives/projects with expertise
  • Closely collaborate with Tax and Accounting to ensure compliance with country requirements
  • Act as local first contact to Regional Sales for cross-border questions for existing set ups
  • Ensure compliance with global rules, standards and regulations set by Global Trade & Customs
  • The Import / Export team is based in the DC of Eskilstuna with multi-DC responsibility and report to the DC Manager
  • We run the operation under a bonded warehouse and handle the communication to Customs inhouse
  • Manage the Impex team (16 persons)

Kravspecifikation

To be successful in the role we believe you have

  • Expertise in import and export processes in region across all types of cross-border and multimodal (train/barge/truck) flows
  • At least 5 years of experience in Logistics Management positions
  • Strong understanding of global Trade & Customs rules and regulations for regional execution
  • Solid overview on relevant regional market environment and cross-border trade relationships
  • Agile mindset with a positive attitude to lead and manage change
  • “Can do” attitude to effectively resolve day-to-day issues and drive smooth process execution
  • Lead, encourage collaboration, co-creation, and people development by empowering your Impex team  
  • Holistic view to look at the bigger perspective with a visionary approach
  • Communication, coordination and negotiation skills
  • Inclusive & empathetic towards others whilst encourage diversity
  • Self-awareness, understanding your impact on others and contribution to the whole group
  • Fluent written and spoken in Swedish and English

Ytterligare information

This is a full-time position based on the DC Retail in Eskilstuna within Logistics Region North and reporting directly to our DC Manager.

The Import Export Manager is part of the management committee of the warehouse and will be involved in all the strategical decisions connected to the logistics site and its development in the near future.
