New Business Development is a newly created function within H&M HOME to continue and maximize the existing journey of growth that we are on. Breaking grounds with new business areas within the organization and the group.

At H&M HOME we are constantly developing our way of doing business and our customer offer, already working with several new business models developed for our different sales channels. We are now strengthening our team working with external brands. In this role as a buyer, you work to create a commercial and profitable interior offer, both in stores and online.

Job Description

As a Buyer you will have the opportunity to take on a role with great responsibility and be a key player in driving one of the most exciting growth areas for H&M HOME. You will work with different business models, warehouse, direct to store and commission sales. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Ensure and develop the assortment to drive growth and profitability, including constantly follow, react to and see new sales opportunities
  • Responsible for the department’s customer focus - set strategy and identify what the customer wants
  • Research, selecting brands and set the assortment mix to build the best customer offer
  • Negotiate prices, responsible for pricing strategy and budgeting
  • Responsible for sales follow up and profitability
  • Initiate and manage contact with external partners
  • Contact with many internal stakeholders to deliver the external brand strategy
  • Responsible for re-orders and correct replenishment of goods to warehouses and stores
  • Administrate orders and have the right product, right quantity in the right time. Ensure that the deliveries are according to the order

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have a strong salesmanship, trend- and commercial awareness, analytical skills. Above all you have a strong knowledge or a keen interest in working with external brands and are passionate about interior design. 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Buyer
  • Strong trend awareness and great commercial thinking
  • Business minded and want to drive development and progression in the assortment
  • High level of proficiency in administration to be able to improve processes and tools
  • Self-driven and used to work independently
  • Significant experience from negotiations with external stakeholders
  • Excellent skills in Excel, office 365 and other planning tools
  • Excellent skills in English both in written and oral

Additional Information

This is a temporary position starting spring 2022 until the end of the year. The assignment is based at our Head Office in Stockholm, Sweden. Strong intentions to become a permanent contract.
