Job Description

As a senior Copywriter, you play a key role in the creative process of the Account that you are assigned to. In collaboration with the art director/creative lead you’ll create conceptual ideas.

You will also create copy for different communication channels in line with the project plan and you are accountable for securing the H&M Tone of Voice within the women’s account.

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coming up with creative copy ideas, in line with the purpose of the project you work on
  • Conduct research based on purpose, product and target group
  • Creating versatile texts and customer-focused messages adapted to omnichannel solutions (print, digital, video, social etc.)
  • Using learnings from CRM & Loyalty and Media teams and adapting copy accordingly
  • Securing that copy is approved from a legal (copyright) perspective
  • Co-operating with key roles in your team, as well as other teams and departments
  • Playing an active role in collaborations with external agencies and giving feedback on ideas and concepts
  • Keeping an eye on competitors, trends and developments in the fashion industry
  • Monitoring copy from a Diversity, Inclusiveness & Transparency perspective (with support from specialists), to make sure it stays in line with H&M values, is customer centric and adapted to context
  • Collaborating with and supporting other copywriters within your team and department
  • Proofreading

Qualifications

As a person you have a creative mindset and are willing to take initiatives. We believe that you have a passion for the written language and the capability to express yourself in versatile ways. You are a person who strives to make H&M’s copy “best in class” and drives the copywriting agenda in your team.

In order to be a successful Copywriter at H&M, we also think that you:

  • Have extended experience working as a Copywriter focusing on social media
  • Have a degree in Copywriting, Journalism or Creative Writing
  • Experience in fashion or lifestyle copywriting, preferably international experience
  • Have full proficiency in written English
  • Have knowledge and understanding of the way different communication channels work
  • Are meticulous in your way of working and have an eye for details
  • Have a big interest in fashion, retail and digital marketing
  • Are keen to develop and want to receive feedback
  • Are passionate about grammar and wording
  • Are a great team player
