Product Owner within Cloud Platform

Job Description

We are now looking for technical Product Owners (PO) for our Cloud platform teams. We need your help in developing our enterprise scale self-service cloud platforms to enable an even faster value creation for the entire H&M Group. Platforms that support development and deliveries for more than 8 brands and 350+ product teams. If you would be excited to work both on strategic product vision as well as sprint goals and feature prioritization for either our Azure platform or Google Platform, this is the opportunity for you!

You will be a part of our Cloud and Datacenter area in Business Tech and join a talented, cross-functional, multi-competent and diverse team of cloud architects, cloud engineers and software engineers in a fun, global multicloud environment.

Given that and our scale, we frequently push the agendas of GCP and Azure. We interact with their engineers and product teams to support our needs. But we still see many challenges and opportunities ahead e.g., having recently started our multicloud journey.

Responsibilities

Your customers/users are mainly found in the 350+ product teams across the H&M Group. Your product spans from cloud security, cost management, driving cloud maturity, enabling cloud transitions, and doing automation. Automation allowing developers and others to get fast access to cloud and maintain it efficiently.

As a Product Owner, you will take end-to-end ownership of the product with accountability for value delivered. You define the strategic vision for your product and create the product roadmap based on a deep understanding of the market / industry, and input from stakeholders across the company.

You will:

  • Set ambitious and clear product mission and quarterly goals for the Cloud platform and translate these goals into a prioritized roadmap and team backlog that drive agreed KPIs
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of market / industry landscape, staying up to date with Cloud vendors and services
  • Establish and maintain relations and collaborations with comparable enterprises, also allowing benchmarking your Cloud platform against theirs
  • Identify and interact with internal stakeholders and users e.g., POs, developers, management.  Gather & analyze qualitative and quantitative insights to adjust strategy and priorities
  • Translate customer, stakeholder, and business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for the product
  • Define MVPs, manage product backlog priorities, and strategically de-scope to achieve rapid feedback cycles
  • Monitor and manage financial impact of decisions and priorities of the product team
  • Interact with vendors (e.g. Azure/Google) for advice and for driving our interests and requests to implementation
  • Responsible to define staffing needs for the team and drive recruitment together with HR

We are looking for you who have:

  • Agile and product mindset
  • A degree in business and/or engineering
  • An ability to shift between the broad stokes with long term or overview perspective and paying attention to details and being highly analytical
  • Worked in a global context and managing stakeholders on both executive and operational levels
  • Fully fluent in English, written and verbally
  • We think maybe you are
    •  Either an experienced PO/team lead/Product manager with a strong interest in cloud
    • Or a seasoned Azure/GCP/AWS Cloud architect with experience building and maintaining Cloud platforms – and now with a drive to shift path towards product

Who are you?

Our mission is to amplify productivity, quality and innovation across the H&M group, therefore we believe you are flexible, curious and like to work in an environment that is not yet formalized with a lot of exciting visions ahead. You are a natural networker with good communication skills who enjoys growing long-term relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, which makes you great in collaboration with key stakeholders, always keeping customers and users at the heart of your focus.
