Job Description

Do you enjoy creating compelling copy? Are you a senior copywriting, working on new big ideas? Are you a brand storyteller with a commercial mindset?

If so, this could be the role for you! We are looking for a Conceptual Copywriter to join our Brand & Communications team. The role will report into the Copy Manager and is offered on a full time permanent contract.

As the Conceptual Copywriter, you will shape and define the message that sets the tone for big brand moments, using concepting, creative storytelling and impactful copy to evolve the way we connect with our customers and the COS community. Your deep understanding of the COS brand and creative direction will empower you to tell compelling stories across all our campaigns and touch points including print, video, social media, email and other digital channels.

What you will do:

  • Use a creative and strategic approach to craft inspirational storytelling and produce clear, impactful and engaging copy that brings to life a creative vision
  • Deliver creative concepts that define large-scale campaigns and moving image through research, big picture thinking, competitor research and your deep understanding of the COS brand ID
  • Ensure that content output aligns with the brief both creatively and commercially and champions the COS tone of voice
  • Work dynamically to adapt your thinking across different channels and areas of the business—whether it be collection focuses, community and purpose lead storytelling or sustainability messaging
  • You will be as capable in copywriting as you are creative strategy and keen to expand your creative thinking
  • Assist with the creation of content for social media
  • Be comfortable with sharing your work and being able to sell your ideas to your colleagues and senior leadership
  • Working closely with the content and art direction teams, you will focus on building a deep understanding of the COS brand and our creative direction, to concept and execute campaigns and special projects of varying scope and impact
  • Work with the wider marketing team on development of ideas and delivering creative campaigns in line with their briefs
  • Work closely with our sustainability team to make sure that creative ideas deliver genuine environmental and/or social sustainability impact

Qualifications

  • You have a strong background in advertising copywriting and concept development, ideally in an agency environment
  • Meaningful experience in and passion for the fashion and luxury space
  • You are highly collaborative, detail-oriented and a strong communicator, able to work cross-functionally with broader teams and other key internal stakeholders
  • You will have exceptional creative talent and thrive in busy environments
  • You are agile and can work on multiple projects at once
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
