H&M is now looking for an experienced and driven leader who knows the power of SEO and understands the underlying mechanisms that drive SEO success - from tech, to content, to authority building. You appreciate the role SEO plays within the full ecosystem of channels, identify new business opportunities, and have a natural ability to inspire and empower teams to drive the work needed cross organization to make it happen. SEO plays an important role in driving our brand preference, traffic and sales to our physical and digital stores and seen as an area of future growth. You will lead a cross organizational SEO team, with the exciting task to design a future set up that makes us stand out towards the competition. You will collaborate a cross the wider organization to set strategies and drive the implementation. Stakeholder management will be key in this role and collaboration across different levels of competence in this field, with the most important part being to connect it to future business outcomes.  The role is situated in our Global Head office in Stockholm.

Job Description

The responsibilities will among others include:

  • Setting long term strategic direction for SEO, break it down into tactics and drive the needed development - from a tech, process and change perspective - globally and regionally
  • Steer a cross organizational team from our Business Units, Marketing & Communication/Media and Sales/e-com and with your experience recommend the best SEO set up for H&M
  • Daily collaboration with a wide variety of teams including, but not limited to:
  • Our Business Tech and Omni Sales/e-com Organization to identify and prioritize optimization opportunities identified in the strategy and tactics, as well as immediate optimizations related to search engines development
  • The wider organization outside of tech, e-com and media such as regions, assortment, PR, enrichment teams and H&M Central
  • Our agency Partner for SEO (where you are also overall responsible for the collaboration)
  • Ensure channel performance and optimization from a customer perspective to deliver on revenue goals connected to SEO’s contribution to sales.  
  • Develop channel best practices, playbooks, guidelines and educate internal teams on the business value from improving SEO
  • Responsible for setting appropriate goals, follow up, reporting and analyses. Passion for metrics and quantitative analysis is a given

Qualifications

We believe that you:

  • Have at least 10+ years of work experience from working with digital, specializing in SEO, with experience in leading SEO at a large or enterprise-level company
  • Are experience in running SEO for a global ecommerce business operating across multiple markets and languages
  • Have a can-do attitude, with a problem-solving personality and thrive in an environment of change
  • Have a genuine passion in the digital industry and SEO, and capability to understand tech as well as marketing and media business strategies across the brand funnel
  • Have a strong business acumen and understanding of SEO’s impact on overall company results and how SEO connects to the full Media eco system
  • Understand how strategy connects to tactics and an ability to turn analysis into actions.
  • Are an individual with a strong sense of ownership and are always looking for opportunities and improvements
  • Have demonstrated skills in managing complex processes across a wide set of stakeholders on all levels
  • Are a self-starter who can work independently but also truly appreciate the value of collaboration and connecting people
  • Are a great communicator, with confidence in communicating SEO topics to senior stakeholders
  • Consider yourself to be a strong team player who are willing to learn and adapt to different parts of the business and discussing on their terms.
  • Have hands-on experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio and similar 3rd party platforms
  • Have deep knowledge of all areas of SEO, including technical SEO, content optimization across multiple markets and languages, and white-hat link-building strategies that are suitable for a global publicly listed brand
  • Have strong Excel skills
  • Have working knowledge of how SEO fits into cross-digital campaigns (experience of practical collaboration with paid search is a plus)
  • Are fluent in English, both spoken and written
