Job Description

We are now looking for a Competence Lead / Software Engineer to the Product Area Inventory Optimization in the Customer Fulfilment domain. You will be a fundamental part of driving the creation of the world's greatest fashion experience. Inventory optimization is a part of the Customer Fulfillment Domain and our responsibility covers solutions and improvements from replenishment, through stock optimization and fulfillment of orders to customers, stores, and partners. Inventory Optimizations’ mission is to make all inventory sellable and available for H&M group customers in the most profitable and sustainable way possible.

About the role
The role has a dual focus including both staff responsibility for employees within a competence area, as well as contributing as a software engineer within your product team. As a competence lead you are a key enabler of the agile way of working, ensuring that employees have the best possible circumstances to develop and grow. Through your own deliveries you keep a connection with the ongoing business to remain a relevant speaking partner to the employees. The Software Engineer role is broad and will give you an opportunity to learn and use your functional knowledge, configuration, testing, development, and technical competences.

You will be a part of the Online Order In Store team that work with H&Ms Click & Collect product. This is a highly prioritized omni product that are continuously developed and rolled out at a rapid pace around the globe. The team consists of 8 members with cross competence that works collaboratively to make sure the product is meeting our customer’s needs. You will take a leading role in the technical development and make sure that our solution is scalable and determine how it will evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Work with professional software engineering principles and best practices for the full software development life cycle
  • Translate product strategy and objectives into suitable, maintainable, and scalable solutions
  • Work with performance management and salary review for employees
  • Support employee development through continuous dialogue
  • Recruitment of new employees, taking an active part in the recruitment process
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and other cross-functional teams, share best practice as well as discuss and motivate design solutions

Qualifications

  • are flexible, stress-resistant and able to work in an environment that is not yet formalized
  • have staff responsibility experience or potential
  • have experience in system architecture and design
  • have several years of work experience as a Java Software Engineer (Spring Boot, Spring Security).
  • have experience from Cloud solutions, preferably Azure and microservices architecture
  • have experience from working according to agile principles
  • have a “You build it you run it” mindset with hands-on experience of DevOps or equivalent
  • have excellent communication skills, explaining complex technologies in simple terms
  • are fluent in English both written and verbal
