Job Description

Are you looking for a new opportunity within Online Buying? Do you have strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset? Are you passionate about optimising buying opportunities and seeing results?

If so, this could be the role for you. We are now looking for an experienced Online Buyer to join our team within the womenswear department. This role will report into the Head of Online Buying and is offered on a full-time 12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover).

As a Buyer you will be accountable for maximising your department’s sales and profitability. You will execute the best assortment strategy and purchase for our customer considering time, price, quality, and quantity.

  • Work with the buying and design teams; contributing to a well-balanced assortment that reaches the needs of the global digital customer
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department to set the vision and targets, and work towards the best result

  • Partner with the Buying Controllers to align targets and budgets

  • Guide, involve, inspire, and develop Assistant Buyers, challenging them to act with confidence

  • Review, follow-up and evaluate department assortment and selling, taking decisions and actions according to the business needs

  • Guide by follow ups and take actions to reach sales targets. Evaluate, take learnings for future purchase decisions, and increase long-term profitability

  • Collaborate with wider ecommerce, marketing and studio teams to find opportunities to maximise sales

  • Identify areas for improvement and seek out future buying trends, developing, and adapting to new ways of working

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Buyer/Junior Buyer 
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills combined with the ability to influence
  • Proficient in order quantification
  • Previous experience developing a junior team
  • Strategically minded with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and business sense
  • Experience working with budgets and reacting to trade
