Job Description  

On this journey we´re all collaborating to create the best customer offer for our customers and as a Distribution Center Controller you will be responsible for maximizing efficiency and profitability, you support all departments and the management team with all controlling aspects to achieve the goals.

Key responsibilities including areas such as:

  • Creates and monitors budgets for the distribution center.

  • Reviews, evaluates and compares monthly actual-to-budget figures for all logistic cost centers

  • Creates, monitors, and evaluates staff planning on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis with particular emphasis on actual-to-budgeted ratios

  • Prepares weekly financial & performance reports for the distributions center

  • Authorizes and negotiates all vendor contracts in partnership with appropriate Logistics team manager pertaining to logistic cost centers

  • Identifies cost savings opportunities

  • Identifies operational efficiency opportunities

  • Works with all levels of the logistics team on issues including budgeting, assessment of cost reduction recommendations and comparison of actuals to plan

  • Provides management with various reports on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis

  • Responsible for creating, approving and monitoring the budget for the CO logistics function

Besides your personality we see that you have:

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or management related field. CPA or CMA a plus
  • 6+ years experience in logistics, accounting and finance as a controller or assistant controller
  • Preferably experience working in a distribution center environment
  • Advanced PC skills with Excel and Access
  • 2-3 years of budgeting experience, including P&L, forecasting, etc.
  • Must have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of accounting and finance practices
  • Ability to look at business need and cost consciousness
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a high pressure, multi-personality, fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to protect confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Additional Information

This is a full-time assignment based in Tenjo, Cundinamarca and you will report to the Logistic Manager.
