Job Description

We are looking for a driven person to join our Merchandising Team in Zurich for a limited contract until August 2023. In this role you are part of a team of merchandisers who are responsible to optimize selling opportunities for one of our many customer groups. In the role you will be responsible for sales analysis and follow-ups as well as garment allocation and stock management. You will work closely with local colleagues and departments to ensure that we have the best customer offer in each location to maximise selling.

Your responsibilities include:

Drive your concept

  • Be the expert of your market and drive profitable growth
  • Plan and follow up concept strategies on a country level
  • Analyze competitors’ offer and their pricing

Optimize your stock

  • Guarantee the commercial impact of key products by setting the right stock level in each store
  • Create reduction strategy which secures profitability and optimal composition of your stock

Create the best customer offer

  • Plan selling and influence buying levels for your concept
  • Coach and communicate commercial focuses to the store teams

Qualifications

As a customer focused and business minded person, you will decide on strong actions to generate an exciting shopping experience for all our customers. As a team player, together in cross functional collaboration with local colleagues and departments you will give support to secure best looking stores and to meet our customers needs. Additionally, you have:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong networking skills and interest in interacting with people
  • Strong drive and initiative to act proactively and to drive goals forward
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to develop yourself and the business
  • Act in line with H&M values and leadership expectations, having the right mindset to contribute to H&M’s business success
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Power point and Word) to navigate through merchandising systems, tools and reports
  • Ability to work independently by managing your own priorities, setting your own objectives & following up on them
  • A Bachelor or Master degree in the field of Business or equivalent
  • Fluency in oral and written English and German. A working-level in French and/or Italian is an additional asset
