Job Description

As an Area Controller Trainee, you are the analyst in the team with the goal of optimizing selling, controlling the costs and maximizing the profitability. You have a strong sense of business and a genuine interest for the fashion industry. You will have a set of different responsibilities including but not limited to, setting up goals, follow up results as well as staff-planning, budgeting and store operations. The role is very multifaceted with different challenges every day. As an Area Controller Trainee, you will support the current Area Controller and you will also get the chance to drive your own projects. The role includes traveling, mainly to our stores in Area Central (NL, DE, AT, LV, PL).​

 

Main responsibilities:​

You will be responsible for maximizing the sales, profitability and minimizing the variable costs of shops within the area. You steer, lead and manage the area and store teams in collaboration with the Area Controller in line with & Other Stories’ values, standards, policies and procedures together with your area team to achieve your goals.​

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:​

Selling, People Planning, Employees, Sales Planning, Steering, Forecasting and Following-up, Cost Planning, Allocation & Stock, Expansion, Operations & Routines. ​

Qualifications

We would love to meet someone who:​

  • with a degree in controlling or economics or equal experience on the job.

  • has leadership experience and leads with values.

  • has experience within the field of fashion retail.

  • is detail oriented with strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.​

  • has strong analytical skills.​

  • is a team player and has a straightforward way of communicating with stakeholders on both country and global level.​

  • displays salesmanship with a clear focus on sales, results and customer value.​

  • shows diligence in admin tasks. ​

  • has a positive problem-solving attitude and is eager to find and initiate new ways of working.​

  • is proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI is meriting but no requirement.

Additional Information

This is a position possible as Part Time (25-32h) or Full Time based in Berlin, partly mobile office is negotiable.
