The Trade and Customs function is a newly formed part of the Supply Chain. Part of the task is to set and form the team, objectives and key contributions to brands and regions by taking proactive ownership within customs and trade related topic. Leading the existing teams supporting regions with global impex support will also be a key element in the new role and function.  


In this role and the as the leader of this team is you are expected to set in place strategies, and ensure and support teams to execute on it to enable a high availability for our customers through ensuring product flows are stable and consistent from a customs and trade perspective. You will also be taking a key part in public affairs work in the area and understand how the group can work in the changing landscape.

We are now looking for a strong leader, with knowledge and experience in the area and a passion for creating value for our customers and company. Leading and supporting colleagues to take on the challenge of leading the work in building the new customs and trade function.  

This is a Full-time permanent position in our Head Office in Stockholm, but we are open to look at placements in another location.

Job Description

As a Global Head of Trade and Customs you will take a key role in building an active and capable supply chain organization.

Your responsibilities:

  • Set the agenda and strategy for H&M Group in the area
  • Empower and support the teams to drive and execute the strategy
  • Having a proactive mindset in identifying opportunities and areas of action on a global level
  • Take a holistic approach on how to contribute to a seamless flow of products from a customs and trade perspective
  • Take an active part, when needed, in public affairs related to area
  • Together with internal and external stakeholders drive key topics for the group
  • Be part of setting and driving strategy and direction for trade and customs impact on sourcing
  • In this role you will drive a global agenda for the H&M group, across business units, brands and regions.

Qualifications

We also believe you to you have/are:

  • Several years of experience in the area either on a global or regional level - Eg from impex, customs brokerage, trade agreements etc
  • Understanding and being able to act and guide the organization within international trade agreements
  • A catalyst leader with strong and proven leadership skills, preferably 3-5 years of experience
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • A passion to empower teams to create results and high interest in cross-functional collaboration
  •  A strategic mindset and an ability to focus on what matters most and creates value for our customers. (examples of setting global strategy and results)
  •  A team player with the ability to engage and motivate teams and colleagues
  •  Self-leading with setting up goals and visions and taking the required measures to reach them
