Accounting Controller to Corporate Accounting

The global Finance and Accounting function is responsible for making sure that the H&M Group can handle all business initiatives in a legal compliant way and ensure that all brands and sales-channels are aligned from an accounting perspective. We are responsible for assuring that the financial reporting keeps up with the high pace of the H&M-group. The Corporate Accounting departments main responsibility is to set up and maintain accounting guidelines for the H&M group. It is also a support function for all H&M accounting departments around the world to make sure best practice is applied.
Job Description
The job of an Accounting Controller comes with lots of responsibility – and lots of fun. Your to do-list includes:
- Work with monthly-, quarterly- and yearly cuts for the Swedish companies within H&M as well as the H&M group to ensure accuracy of the financial reports
- Work with ongoing accounting tasks connected to the main responsibilities of corporate accounting i.e. stock in trade
- Work with our global accounting principles and create accounting routines to be used as instructions for our accounting colleagues around the world.
- Participate in projects that affects the financial reporting
- Align the accounting routines towards the local organizations and make sure that it is correct and legal compliant.
Qualifications
Just like everyone at H&M, we believe you are a sales-minded, social, open, communicative and ambitious team player full of drive and optimism. Your personal qualities also include:
- Degree within Business Administration & Economics (or similar)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience from a similar role
- Experience from working within an accounting/auditing firm is a great advantage
- A genuine interest in working with accounting as well as developing accounting processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Fluent English skills, both in speech and writing
- Strong ability to plan, execute and prioritize
- You are skilled within communication and like to involve yourself in discussions with people from different functions and markets within the company.
- Good MS office skills
