The Partner Relations team is part of the Collaborations & Special Collections Function, whose purpose is to strengthen the H&M brand, drive innovation and explore new opportunities for growth together through external collaborations. The Partner Relations team is the expert in building partnerships for product collaborations and licensing. We support the H&M Brands all Business Units (e.g. Men, Women, Divided and Kids) in setting and executing on strategy and purpose, from seasonal planning, through leads generation and negotiating the deals.

As a Partner Relations Project Manager you, based on the overall company strategy and purpose, support the Business Units and Special Collections team in setting and executing on their collaboration and licensing strategy for each customer group (e.g. Men, Women, Divided and Kids), through global and local as well as long- and short-term external partnerships. You are a part in the projects from research phase until creation of final product.

Your responsibilities

  • Take part in setting the overall seasonal Activity Plan with the Business Units
  • Provide on-trend research and generate leads on relevant potential partners based on the set strategy. Evaluate risk of working with shortlisted partners/Due Diligence, together with the Legal IP team and the Print & Product Policy team
  • Independently lead the pitch and negotiation process towards potential partners, in close collaboration with the BU management team, and involving relevant internal stakeholders throughout
  • Draft contract and assure there are processes in place for all terms and conditions agreed
  • Contract management
  • Coordinate handover and follow up with design- and marketing leads. Trouble shooting throughout the process and lead debrief with partner

Your background and skills

  • Around 5 years’ experience negotiating partnerships at senior level in an international setting; agency or client side (e.g. Creative dealmaker)
  • Experience from contract drafting and risk mitigation from a business and legal perspective
  • Established network of agents and creatives in relevant fields
  • Strong and genuine interest in fashion/street culture/pop culture/entertainment
  • Great research skills, always up to date and able to forecast coming trends
  • Excellent ability to build meaningful relationships and see win-win solutions
  • Strong project management skills

University degree within business, fashion, law or other relevant field is seen as meriting.
