Job Description

Full-time position reporting to the Head of Marketing  

The Marketing and Communications Officer develops and implements marketing strategies that reinforce HEC Paris’ brand positioning, increase awareness of the Doha campus, and drive business opportunities across Qatar and the region. Responsibilities include executing strategic campaigns, managing media relations, generating engaging content, and creating impactful marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities 

Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Write and edit content for a variety of formats, including press releases, brochures, newsletters, and digital content;
  • Craft engaging content, including editorials, speeches, and communication messages;
  • Ensure all written content aligns with branding guidelines and resonates with target audiences;
  • Evaluate the written quality of documents submitted for publication and provide written feedback on the works.

Media Relations

  • Coordinate PR activities with external agencies; brief and create action plans and recommendations;
  • Prepare press kits and manage media requests, enhancing the institution’s presence in the media;
  • Monitor media coverage and report on campaign effectiveness.

Branding

  • Ensure consistent application of HEC Paris’ branding across all materials, adhering to visual identity and messaging guidelines;
  • Manage the production of branded merchandise, signage, banners, and event collateral;
  • Work with graphic designers and vendors to ensure high-quality production of printed and digital assets, including posters, flyers, and invitations;
  • Coordinate the branding for events.  

Advertising & Collateral

  • Plan and execute print advertising campaigns;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative ad concepts, messaging, and designs;
  • Negotiate with media outlets for ad placements (newspapers, magazines, etc.) within budget;
  • Track advertising performance and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results;
  • Manage the production of marketing collateral, including brochures, promotional videos, and presentations, ensuring timely distribution and high-quality output.

Qualifications

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Marketing and/or Communications.

Skills and competencies

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). 
  • Salesforce CRM experience is preferred. 
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in generating and analyzing data related to marketing activities. 
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and brand-conscious, with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Arabic is a strong advantage. French is a plus.
