Job Description

Full-time position reporting to the Executive Director, Partnerships and Growth

The Head of Business Development is responsible for leading the School’s executive education business development and sales activities, driving revenue growth, and increasing the depth and breadth of the portfolio of programs, both B2B and B2C, across the GCC.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for executive education programs, including degree, non-degree, and in-house custom-designed programs across all GCC markets;
  • Manage and lead a team of sales and enrollment professionals to meet objectives and provide coaching and support to achieve their goals;
  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to identify, pursue and grow business opportunities;
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts, pipelines, and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement;
  • Provide oversight in course design and proposal writing for custom-designed in-house executive education programs;
  • Participate in the development of new executive education programs by providing input on market demand and sales potential;
  • Stay up-to-date and monitor market trends and competitive intelligence to inform marketing and sales strategies and plans;
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, both B2B and B2C, across the GCC;
  • Collaborate with other HEC Paris departments, such as Marketing, Admissions, and Community Engagement, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with revenue goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred;
  • 12+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets;
  • Experience in B2B and B2C sales, preferably in executive education, management education, or a related field;
  • Deep understanding of issues related to talent development, learning and development, and leadership development in the corporate space;
  • Experience in preparing and presenting sales proposals;
  • Ability to drive a consultative sales approach, establishing deep relationships across client organizations;
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing and developing sales teams;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders;
  • Analytical skills with the ability to develop and maintain sales forecasts, pipelines, and reports;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while respecting sometimes short deadlines;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to identify business opportunities;
  • Solid business acumen, and ability to influence executive decisions;
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills;
  • Excellent command of English; Arabic is preferred ; French is a plus;
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, experience in the use of CRM systems for lead/client management and forecasting;
  • Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends);
  • Experience in GCC countries is a strong plus.
