Job Description

The role of Content and SEO Strategist can be based in Perth, WA or in Surry Hills, NSW, depending on the location of the chosen candidate.

As part of the Growth team, you will bring technical marketing experience to model, measure and analyse the customer funnel. Your experiments and analysis will drive long term growth, increasing the value of the customer by allowing them to experience the full value of our product. Most importantly, your work will impact the way Australians experience healthcare.

This role will take responsibility for the Content and SEO Strategy across the HealthEngine website and app.

This is not your standard SEO role either, it is more than your regular boundaries of Google, Bing and Yahoo. Think App Store Optimisation, Quora, Instagram, Facebook or how you make things visible on YouTube. Your also going to have to bring your content A game. Blog articles for keyword rankings will not cut it, we are looking for content driven customer acquisition strategies.

About You

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and optimisation of existing on-site content (directory/article).
  • Formulation and implementation/testing of content marketing strategies for user growth.
  • Achieve and exceed growth targets in organic search traffic to HealthEngine website.
  • Develop content offerings on website or mobile apps to develop content as a significant growth channel (acquisition/retention).

Preferred Capability:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high level customer acquisition via content marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated experience exceeding growth targets in high volume, online traffic environments through SEO and content strategy.
  • Experience implementing successful large-scale SEO initiatives, including content, link building and site architecture.
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices, search algorithms and ranking strategies, and a passion to stay up to date with news and trends in SEO and online marketing.
  • Deep knowledge of technical SEO best practice and optimization.
  • Understanding of critical SEO analytics and research platforms (e.g. Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Adwords Keyword Planner, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics a plus, etc), as well as familiarity with various third party SEO analytics solutions such as Moz, SEMrush, GetSTAT etc.
  • Proven ability to communicate cross functionally to technical and non technical people.
  • Thrives working in fast paced environment, and is quick to take initiative.
