JD-PMO Head

Brampton, ON, Canada

 

Purpose of Role

Delivering high quality SLA based cost effective project services with PMI’s methodology with high level of customer satisfaction

 

Main Responsibilities:

·         Leading Project Management Office

·         Customer Relationship/ Stakeholder Management

·         Focus on project opportunities and transformation initiatives

·         Increase penetration of Infra project services in existing engagement

·         Project pipeline management and forecasting

·         Resource management

·         Team billability

·         Customer invoicing and billing

·         P&L Responsibility for project stream

·         Monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasting

·         Ability to expand and shrink project team based on project demand

·         Management reporting

·         Conduct regular project reviews with customer project stakeholders

·         Employee retention, motivation and training

·         Implementation of new technologies

·         Consolidation/virtualisation opportunities

·         Reduce business impact of outages

·         Cost savings through better project management methodologies

·         Project SLA management

·         Project Customer Satisfaction

·         Development of service catalogue for repeatable project services

·         Escalation handling and coordination with Steady State Service Delivery Manager

·         Compliance with customer project reporting and HCL project reporting

·         Compliance with HCL financial reporting

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

·         Minimum of 15 yrs of which at least 10+ years of IT Infrastructure Project Delivery

·         Experience with outsourced managed services is must

·         Bachelors degree in Engineering (in Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Communication)

·         In-depth understanding of PMI Methodology

·         Experience of managing outsourced or offshore supplier support groups

·         Very strong verbal/written communication skills

·         Exposure to telecom domain an added advantage

 

Technical / professional qualifications:

·         PMP Certification is must

·         Strong Techno-Commercial/ Business Orientation and Cost Sensitive with ability to balance decisions between onsite and offshore delivery mix.

·         Strong Leadership/ Team Building/ Decision Making attribute

·         Demonstrated success in delivering IT services using private and public cloud framework

·         Expertise in Defining Process and ensure the implementation within the Service Delivery Organization; experienced with PMI methodology

·         Datacentre Migration/Consolidation experience will be an advantage

·         Technology appreciation in the areas of:

·         OS – Windows, Linux, Unix

·         Database & Middleware - Oracle Stack

·         Converged Technologies

·         ITSM Tools – ServiceNow

·         Management Tools - HP, BMC

·         Control M Batch Management

·         Mainframe

·         Available on 24 x 7 basis in the event of emergencies and should be contactable after office hours

 

Business Skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills and ability to translate IT technical language into everyday terms which users can understand, specifically non-technical senior management

·         Ability to interact with customers so as to ensure that the service is flexible, efficient and responsive

·         To work through issues analytically to a successful conclusion

·         Demonstrable results in a business customer facing role, with a track record of delivering project services to defined service levels.

·         Experience in the management of multi-discipline teams in distributed locations supporting complex application environment.

·         Experience of working in a project and matrix organization with a team size of 100+ people

·         Proven ability to deliver improvements that deliver greater value to the customer and business through more efficient delivery and/or lower costs.
