Job Description

Accounting Clerk's perform these daily tasks:

  • Process accounts payable/receivable as needed
  • Participate in the month-end close and reconcile the following accounts: Cash, Allowance for Doubtful Accounts, Earnings, Billings, Prepaids, Investments, Accrued Expenses, Other Debt, Equity
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis for financials
  • Prepare financials for internal and external distribution
  • Process client invoices/billings, expense reports and mileage reports
  • Organize accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Calculate and pay sales tax and other taxes as needed
  • Compile financial statements with supervisor as needed
  • Design and execute financial system process improvements
  • Provide reports/info to managers as needed
  • Assist in budgeting and cost management
  • Preparation of 1099 and other tax related documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent follow-up skills
  • Must take personal responsibility for data integrity of the accounting systems
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and management skills
  • Adept at MS Office products, Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Discrete handling of confidential information
  • Ability to anticipate needs and use good judgment
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment that requires flexibility
  • Able to work overtime as necessary
  • Accepts direction and supervision
