Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Manly. In this role, you will support the daily management of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth operations. • Lead and motivate the team through busy service periods, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment • Assist in crew training and development, inspiring team members to reach their full potential • Proactively improve guest experience by maintaining high standards of service and addressing customer feedback

  • Support inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimising waste • Assist in financial management tasks, including cash handling and basic reporting • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to implement new initiatives and achieve business goals • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally • Assist in creating staff schedules and managing shift rotations • Maintain a clean and organised restaurant environment, adhering to company standards

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading a team within a busy, high-volume hospitality environment • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Passion for inspiring, leading, and developing team members • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards • Proficiency in restaurant management software • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills • Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving business targets • A relevant qualification in hospitality management is desirable but not essential
