Job Description

We’re looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join our team and help bring our internal communications to life across the business.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their communications career who is passionate about storytelling, employee engagement and building strong internal connections across a fast-growing brand.

About the Role

This is a 12 month contract. 

As our Internal Communications Specialist, you’ll play an important role in keeping our crew, franchisees and Hola Central teams connected and informed.

Working closely with the Director of Communications, PR and Events, you’ll support the delivery of our internal communications strategy and help ensure the right information reaches the right people at the right time. You’ll collaborate with teams across the business to create engaging content, strengthen communication channels and support a vibrant digital culture across GYG.

You’ll also work with our Workvivo platform, helping to create engaging and meaningful content that keeps our people connected to our brand, mission and values.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the delivery of GYG’s internal communications strategy
  • Creating clear, engaging internal communications content
  • Helping manage and optimise our Workvivo internal communications platform
  • Collaborating with teams across the business to share important updates and initiatives
  • Supporting employee engagement through creative communications and storytelling
  • Ensuring communications are accurate, timely and aligned with the GYG brand and culture
  • Assisting with internal campaigns, announcements and key business updates

About You

  • 1–2 years’ experience in communications, PR or a related field (including internships)
  • A degree in Communications, Public Relations or similar is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to produce clear, accurate content
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across the business
  • Able to manage priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with internal communication platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable
  • A genuine interest in food, hospitality or fast-growing brands is a bonus
