About the Role:

As a Senior HRIS Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing Workday, our Human Resources Information System, to meet the evolving needs of our organization. You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of HR systems ensuring data integrity and providing scalable solutions for HR analytics and reporting. This person must thrive in a fast-paced business environment, be detailed-oriented, independently motivated, and have the confidence and ability to interact with stakeholders in a professional, approachable, and positive manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Process Configuration: Configure and maintain business processes with a solid understanding of validation rules, step conditions, and advanced routing.
  • ​EIB Management: Build and review complex EIBs, ensuring accurate loading of data
  • Core Compensation: Oversee core compensation elements such as compensation grades, profiles, and job profile maintenance and eligibility rules
  • Workday Help: Manage Workday Help Case features including service teams, service categories, case types, and routing rules
  • Functionality Research: Investigate and explore existing functionalities or known issues within Workday, leveraging community insights.
  • Transaction Oversight: Understand and manage event coordination, corrections, effective dating impacts, mass operations, and approval advancements.
  • Notifications and Alerts: Set up and configure system notifications and alerts, including using Notification Designer
  • Deployment: Partner with the People Operations Team to ratify solutions, manage testing phases, oversee rollouts, and execute change management.
  • System Integration: Thoroughly understand the interconnections between various Workday SKUs and external systems to evaluate and manage downstream impacts.
  • Security Troubleshooting: Address basic Workday security issues, helping resolve restrictions on user actions or visibility within the system.
  • Testing: Write test scripts and lead end-to-end and user acceptance testing rounds
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous system improvements focusing on employee experience enhancements, including functionality like Guidance Workspace and Business Process Templates.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain rigorous process documentation, manage change control, and ensure audit compliance.
  • Reporting Capabilities: Develop basic reports, knowledge of building calculated fields and understanding business object/database relationships.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 4-5 years of experience in HR, preferably in HR Operations
  • Experience with hands-on configuration of Workday HCM
  • Basic project management skills: must be organized, extremely detail-oriented and focused on execution
  • Superior communication skills are necessary, along with comfort in interacting with a diverse range of people across all organizational levels
  • Strong understanding of key HR processes including employee data management, payroll administration, talent/performance management, and total rewards
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to be partially self-directed and work independently once objectives are set, as well as the capability to collaborate in a team-oriented and fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ​Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, supporting the ability to organize, analyze, and report information effectively
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships across various levels of an organization

Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $78,000 to $105,300. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $104,000 to $140,400. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
