Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and executing a strategically targeted regional account plan for building coverage, contracting & revenue pull-through with U.S. Managed Care Accounts
  • Gain an understanding of the U.S. Managed Care client, GHI customer accounts, and GHI internal team
  • Use extensive business data analytics knowledge to help manage multiple managed care regional accounts
  • Help provide support to ensure that the growth of the team’s contracting, coverage, reimbursement, and strategic projects are fully supported and implemented (i.e. credentialing, contracting, proposals, and utilization management)
  • Assist on cross-functional projects with U.S. Managed Care clients supportive of the Managed Care team
  • Build  relationships with our internal GHI reimbursement team associates
  • Help gather information, analyze and deliver metrics to determine trends and provide Managed Care team insight into the trends of the Managed Care client identifying areas of opportunity (i.e. coding, policy, claims, pricing)
  • Assist Internal teams to facilitate and maintain a quarterly business/operational review of Managed Care accounts
  • Work effectively with the Managed Care team and individuals across multiple departments to drive strategic goals
  • Collaborate with sales, reimbursement, and medical affairs for physician customer-related issues utilizing knowledge of business data analytics
  • Utilize knowledge of business data analytics to Collaborate and coordinate with Managed Care  to ensure the successful attainment of company goals and objectives
  • Ensure team objectives are met
  • Embrace, embody, and represent the Guardant Health company culture at all times to external and internal constituents

Qualifications

About You

  • Customer service/sales experience with a history of proven past of account management that has met and exceeded expectations or equivalent advanced degree (finance, data analytics, etc) preferred
  • Ability to engage in a consultative process that overcomes objections and indifferences while connecting client needs with GHI capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects and prioritize daily tasks while managing critical deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Superior listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a very high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrate customer support abilities throughout the sales cycle
  • Impeccable oral and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Must be very proficient with all Microsoft Office products – particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to develop and utilize cross-functional relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and objectives.
  • Problem-solving, decision making and technical learning
  • Strong administrative skills and sophistication to manage business in complex environments
  • Demonstrate GHI's Values by acting with integrity, respect, trust and possess a very positive attitude and an understanding of the dynamics involved with organizational growth and change

Education:

B.S. in finance, data analytics, life science, biology, business, or marketing preferred

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. Covid Vaccination Policy:  Guardant Health requires all employees to be fully vaccinated. We follow the CDC guidelines for the definition of “fully vaccinated”, meaning an employee is consider fully vaccinated against COVID-19 after receiving the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccination, and necessary booster vaccines. In addition, fully vaccinated employees will be required to maintain their fully vaccinated status under this policy by obtaining, if applicable, any FDA-approved boosters. For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the hourly rate for this full-time position is $36/hr. The rate does not include benefits and, if applicable, overtime, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
