We are currently involved in the design, rehabilitation and supervision of several hydropower schemes including dams, hydraulic circuits, powerhouses, substations, and transmission lines. For our Structures and Modelling Department, we are looking for a Structural Design Engineer - Hydraulic structures.

Job Description

  • Perform calculations of concrete structures
  • Support the Dept. by contributing with the layout and design of hydraulic structures,
  • Follow-up on project and execution plans
  • Draft of tender documents and project applications
  • Follow-up and monitor the construction site
  • Prepare/and or participate in the preparation of tenders for engineering services in the field of hydraulic works in Switzerland and abroad

Qualifications

  • ETH or Master of Science in Civil Engineering
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in hydraulics/dams is an asset
  • Expertise in technical standards and softwares for design and assessment of structures related to geotechnics, hydraulic engineering and dams (finite element analysis method)
  • Working languages: French and/or English, knowledge of German is an asset
  • Ability to anticipate, plan, organise and control 
  • Willingness to travel for short-medium missions abroad, for site visits or meetings
