Canam Group in Brasov began as a small detailing office in 1998 which afterward became a major company on the Brasov market with its own building and more than 400 employees. 

Our team in Brasov provides 3D modeling, detailing and estimation services for constructions such as buildings, steel structures and bridges. We work for our plants and offices in Canada and the United States and for other North American steel fabricators. 

We also have our own IT team developing software for internal use.

Complete estimation of steel constructions for manufacturing as per structural and architectural blueprints and/or design shop drawings or erection drawings, using BlueBeam, Trimble Connect, Microsoft Excel and other specific software (STE) while ensuring that all project criteria are met.

Our team is providing estimation services for the fabrication of steel structures in Canam or other clients' shops.

Essential Functions: 

• Gather, examine and interpret information from project documents: specifications, structural plans, architectural plans, and structural steel connections from the plans or from the engineer
• Complete estimation – take off for all steel elements used for structural projects
• Complete estimation for connections between elements: connection material, bolts and welds
• Report discrepancies and missing information from the bidding documents
• Detect possible problems between structural and architectural building parts and propose solutions
• Complete necessary key plans and lists (with specific software and Excel) to identify the steel elements and connections estimated
• Generate the necessary reports to be delivered as per client requirements

We are 10 people team with solid experience and great involvement, working in a friendly environment!

We are ready to provide you a training program for specific standards, norms and software to use (6-8 weeks) and then, a gradual integration in production with continuous support and coaching. Our actual work is to provide support, mainly for projects targeted by Canam structure shops.

• Technical faculty/high school diploma
