Canam Group specializes in designing and fabricating metal components for the North American construction industry. The Company is active in the sectors of buildings and infrastructure. The AZ Driver follows dispatch instructions to complete trips in a timely manner. This position requires excellent customer service skills and adherence to safety standards.

Duties:

• Complete trips and deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays, arrivals or equipment issues as required.
• Demonstrate good customer service with external clients and erectors.
• Verify and complete required documentation, e-logs and reports. 
• Conduct daily pre-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Full Class A Truck License (AZ driver's license) required.
• Clean driver's abstract and CVOR required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in flatbed chaining of steel products.
• Knowledge of Cargo Securement law is essential.
• Ability to haul oversized/over-length loads of approximately 100 feet is required.
• Ability to communicate, read and write in English is a must.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety and operating policies, procedures and instructions.
• Willingness to engage in training as required.

Physical Demands:

The nature of this position also requires the AZ Driver to perform a wide range of physical activities, ranging from pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying heavy objects (25-50 lbs), to sitting, bending and handling with repetitive movements. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Work Environment:

The employee will be on the road frequently and may be exposed to construction and steel-fabrication environments. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn inside the plant and job sites at all times (including but not limited to: safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses or ear plugs).
