Company Description

Canam Group in Brasov began as a small detailing office in 1998 which afterwards became a major company on the Brasov market with its own building and more than 350 employees. 

Our team in Brasov provides 3D modeling, detailing and estimation services for constructions such as buildings, steel structures and bridges. We work for our plants and offices in Canada and the Unites States and for other North American steel fabricators. 

We also have our own IT team developing software for internal usage.

Job Description

Complete estimation of steel joist and deck as per structural, architectural plans and bid documents, using BueBeam, Desgo, Microsoft Excel and other specific software while ensuring that all project criteria is met.

 Essential Functions

  • Gather, examine and interpret information from project documents: specifications, structural plans, architectural plans or any other project documentation provided;
  • Complete estimation – take off for all steel joists and deck used for structural projects;
  • Report discrepancies and missing information from the bidding documents;
  • Compile a list of included/excluded items;
  • Provide the required support to the sales department;
  • Generate the necessary estimation reports and final price sheets to be delivered to the sales representative.

Qualifications

 

  • Technical faculty diploma;
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, specifications, governmental regulations, drawings and job specifications;
  • Self-organized, attentive, capable to take decision based on accumulate knowledge;      
  • Computer skills;
  • Excel medium level knowledge;
  • Knowledge of the English language;
  • Good learning and communication skills.

We will provide a training program upon hiring for specific standards, norms and software (6-8 weeks).
