About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Project Coordinator to join the Cyber Security team. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of cyber security uplift initiatives by coordinating project activities, managing schedules, facilitating communication between stakeholders, assisting with vendor management, finance and procurement activities.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to drive project outcomes that strengthen Griffith’s cyber security capability and support the successful delivery of the Cyber Security Improvement Program. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives on organisation, and wants to contribute to innovative digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of cyber security uplift projects within cross-functional delivery and technical teams
- Support the Program Manager, Project Managers and delivery teams with scheduling, reporting, governance, financial tracking and stakeholder follow-up
- Develop and maintain project schedules, status reports, risk registers, action registers and project documentation
- Raise and track purchase orders, invoices, procurement approvals and expenditure against project budgets
- Maintain accurate project, procurement, contract and governance records
- Track contract deliverables, expenditure and supplier performance
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, finance and procurement leads, and external partners
- Track project progress against timelines, budgets, deliverables and dependencies
- Identify and escalate project risks, issues, dependencies and blockers where required
- Maintain project management tools such as Jira or similar platforms, ensuring information is accurate and up to date
- Support change management, communications and user adoption activities as required
About you
Essential
- 2+ years’ experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, or similar project support role
- Experience supporting project leads and/or delivery teams, ideally across digital, ICT or technology projects
- Experience supporting procurement, invoicing and financial administration processes, including purchase orders, approvals and expenditure tracking
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
Desirable
- Project management certification or training, such as PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Fundamentals, Scrum or PMP
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira or similar platforms
- Interest or experience in cyber security
- Experience coordinating vendor engagements, contracts, statements of work or procurement documentation
- Experience preparing project reports, dashboards and executive-level updates
- Understanding or awareness of the Essential Eight cyber security framework

This is a full time, fixed term opportunity until December 2027 based at the Brisbane South (Nathan) Campus. As Griffith is a multi-site university, you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary
HEW Level 7 - Base range - $104,504 - $113,219 + 17% superannuation. Full package range is $122,269 - $132,466 per annum.
