Job Description

As Senior Student Administration Officer play a vital role in delivering high-quality administrative support to students across all stages of their academic journey, helping ensure their success and a seamless experience from enrolment to graduation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage complex student administration issues and offer expert advice on matters related to enrolment, program variations, progression, and graduation 
  • Assess and processing applications such as credit transfers, cross-institutional studies, degree variations, and course substitutions 
  • Verify students' eligibility to graduate and coordinate with academic elements and the Graduations Office 
  • Engage in activities that support the student journey from recruitment through to graduation 
  • Contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of Student Administration functions 
  • Support third-party student administration functions 

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in student administration within a tertiary education environment, particularly in areas such as credit, enrolment, progression, and graduation.
  • Thorough understanding of academic policies and procedures, including program structures, credit transfer rules, and degree requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and process complex applications, such as credit transfers, cross-institutional studies, and program variations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

What we can offer
This is a continuing position, 50% (0.5 FTE) part position primarily based at either Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast.  As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $82,415 - $92,456 per annum + 17% superannuation. The salary including superannuation is in the range $96,426 -$108,174 per annum.
The salary will be paid at the relevant part-time proportion.
