About the role
The Head of Information Management & Solutions is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and advancing the University's information management, governance, and digital transformation agenda. This role drives the development and implementation of frameworks, policies, and practices that maximise the value of the University's data and information assets while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Leading a team of specialists, the successful candidate will champion best-practice information management, promote the effective adoption of technology solutions, and drive business process digitisation across the University. The role is pivotal in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing organisational information management maturity, and enabling informed decision-making through the effective management, accessibility, and use of information and data.
Key responsibilities
- Lead information governance, records management, and data strategy to ensure compliance, effective decision-making, and value from information assets.
- Drive the University's information management strategy, digital transformation initiatives, and adoption of technology solutions.
- Provide expert advice on information governance, knowledge management, compliance, and organisational best practice.
- Champion knowledge-sharing, continuous improvement, and the development of organisational information management capability.
- Lead quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to enhance services, processes, and compliance outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, driving collaboration, engagement, and successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, capability development, and continuous learning.
- Deliver organisational capability and change programs that improve performance, support strategic objectives, and respond to emerging trends and opportunities.
About You
- The occupant of this position holds postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience.
What we can offer
This is a full-time fixed-term opportunity for 12 months based at Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary
This is a senior contract; a competitive salary will be negotiated with the preferred candidate.
