Key Responsibilities

• Lead and provide expert input into the delivery of Griffith’s new CBD campus, overseeing technical planning, vendor management, digital teaching space solutions, and the realisation of outcomes and value for staff and students.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of digital products supporting teaching and learning spaces (e.g. classrooms, lecture theatres, hybrid and virtual environments).
• Define product vision, objectives and success metrics aligned to the University’s teaching and learning strategy.
• Develop and maintain a product roadmap that enhances the functionality, usability and reliability of teaching space technologies.
• Engage with academic staff, students and professional teams to understand evolving teaching needs and translate them into product requirements.
• Prioritise and manage a pipeline of work, ensuring delivery teams focus on initiatives that maximise educational outcomes and user experience.
• Ensure products are secure, compliant, and reliable throughout design, configuration, testing and rollout stages.
• Drive continuous improvement through user feedback, analytics and iterative design, enhancing teaching and learning experiences.
• Lead demand management activities, evaluating requests for teaching space enhancements and aligning them to strategic priorities.
• Plan and manage change initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new technologies and capabilities across teaching environments.
• Monitor emerging technologies in education and learning spaces, identifying opportunities to innovate and enhance the student and staff experience.
• Manage service levels for teaching space technologies, ensuring performance meets agreed expectations and resolving issues proactively.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to support delivery and continuous improvement of teaching space solutions.
• Contribute to the uplift of product management practices, tools and ways of working across the organisation.

About you

• Extensive experience in product management, ideally within higher education or environments supporting teaching and learning spaces.
• Strong understanding of classroom and teaching space technologies (e.g. AV systems, hybrid learning tools, digital collaboration platforms).
• Proven ability to translate user needs (academic and student) into clear product strategies and deliverables.
• Experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs and cross-functional delivery teams in agile and/or hybrid environments.
• Demonstrated capability in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across diverse groups.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience using data, feedback and insights to drive product improvements and decision-making.
• Knowledge of service management, governance and compliance requirements in a complex organisational setting.
• Experience leading change and supporting adoption of new technologies in operational teaching environments.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, suppliers and delivery timelines in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.

This is a full-time fixed term opportunity for 12 months based primarily at the Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations

Salary

HEW 9 Salary – Base range - $137,165.65 - $142,070.17 + 17% superannuation. Full package range - $160,483.80 - $166,222.09.
