Job Description

Reporting to the Dean (Research), Griffith Health, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient and effective operation of the portfolio. You will provide dedicated executive assistance to senior leadership, ensuring seamless coordination of activities and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive support, including complex diary management, coordination of meetings, and arranging domestic and international travel.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations, including information flow, email monitoring, and responding to enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and support administrative processes, including financial and HR systems.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Prepare, format and draft a range of documents, including reports, submissions and presentations.
  • Provide secretarial support to committees and working groups, including agenda preparation and minute taking.
  • Coordinate events, workshops, conferences, and visitor itineraries.
  • Contribute to projects and undertake ad hoc research activities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, University policies, and health and safety requirements.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An associate diploma qualification with relevant experience in an executive support or advanced administrative role, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively.

What we can offer
This is a continuing, full-time position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As a multi-site University, you may be required to work across other locations as needed.

Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $79,705 - $89,416 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $93,255 - $104,617 per annum.
