Job Description

The School of Applied Psychology are a leading education provider offering accredited degrees in psychology, counselling, suicidology and health services management. Our programs emphasise practical skill-based learning and the application of disciple knowledge across diverse professional settings. Graduates are equipped to support individuals facing personal, health, vocational or social challenges and to lead impactful initiatives within the health sector.

As a Lecturer (Internship Coordinator), you will use your skills and experience to advance clinical psychology training and professional practice education and drive meaningful change. Here’s how you’ll make it matter:

  • Lead high quality clinical education through engaging, student centred learning and assessment across postgraduate psychology programs.
  • Coordinate and strengthen all Psychology Clinic placements, ensuring seamless operations, clear communication, and exceptional professional standards.
  • Build excellence in clinical supervision by providing individual, paired, and group supervision that supports safe, ethical, evidence based practice.
  • Collaborate with Clinic and Program leadership to shape future focused training models, assessment processes, and placement pathways.
  • Contribute to key academic activities, including OSCE delivery, postgraduate selection, and advisory committees to uphold program quality and compliance.

This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $113,226 - $134,460 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $132,474 - $157,318 per annum.

You will also have:

  • A postgraduate qualification in psychology, registration as a psychologist in Australia, and clinical psychology area‑of‑practice endorsement.
  • Eligibility to provide supervision under Psychology Board of Australia requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting postgraduate learning in clinical or professional psychology settings, with the ability to guide students through complex practice‑based challenges.
  • Strong organisational capability, with the judgement and professionalism required to manage sensitive information, competing priorities, and dynamic clinical training environments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, enabling effective collaboration with academic leaders, clinic staff, students, and external partners.
