About the Opportunity    

Lead quality assurance and compliance for Griffith’s on demand online programs. This strategic role oversees a team of Learning Designers and Support Officers, driving the development and implementation of quality standards across design, delivery, and review stages, while contributing to development of courses and programs. 

You’ll be the champion for learning and teaching quality within the Online Strategy Unit, applying deep expertise in higher education pedagogy, curriculum, assessment, and regulatory compliance. Collaborating across academic and professional teams, you’ll help shape Griffith’s innovative approach to online learning. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead development and continuous improvement of quality assurance systems, ensuring compliance with TEQSA standards and university policies.  

  • Oversee risk management, audits, and accreditation processes.  

  • Embed Universal Design for Learning principles for inclusive, accessible online experiences.  

  • Manage course and program review cycles, using data driven insights to enhance quality and innovation.  

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and prepare quality assurance reports with actionable recommendations.  

  • Collaborate with academic and professional staff to maintain curriculum integrity and align with institutional strategies.  

  • Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to Learning Designers and Support Officers, fostering a high-performance culture.  

  • Design and deliver professional learning programs to build capability in quality assurance and learning design.  

  • Apply evidence-based practices and research to inform curriculum and teaching enhancements. 

About you 

  • The occupant of this position will hold postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience in quality assurance and management in higher education, or an equivalent combination of relevant training, skills, knowledge, and experience. 

Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.  

What we can offer 

This is a continuing opportunity based at Logan.  As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.  

HEW 9 Salary – base range is $132,655.36 - $137,398.61 + 17% super. Full package range is $155,206.78 - $160,756.38.
