Griffith’s Clinical Trial Unit is a Core research Facility to the University that provides state of the art facilities for clinical trials. We support university researchers and academics in conducting their trials, but also provide professional clinical trial services to commercial clients such as the pharma and biosciences industry.
Job Description
The position will support commercially funded and investigator-led research projects in the Clinical Trial Unit (CTU) by providing clinical trial pharmacy services. This will include Investigational Medicine Products (IMP) preparation and dispensing, as well as being involved in IMP receipt, storage and destruction. The Clinical Trial pharmacist works in line with protocol, appropriate quality standards and regulations. Working across a range of clinical trials the role will support the day-to-day operations of the CTU through teamwork, professionalism and accountability. The Clinical Trial Pharmacist will report to the Operations Manager. Flexibility in working hours is a requirement for this role.
This is a part time (0.5 FTE – 50%), continuing contingent position based primarily at Griffith University’s Gold Coast location. This means the role is ongoing, but continued employment is dependent on the availability of external funding.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 8 range $113,713 - $127,923 per annum (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $133,044 - $149,670 per annum (pro-rata)
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical trial pharmacy, including aseptic preparation techniques.
- A current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a collaborative, professional approach.
- A commitment to upholding ethical research standards and continuous quality improvement.
